B15 Engine swap.....
Ok i have a 06 b15 1.8se....its an auto and blown.....heres my issue.
I'm planning a engine swap or turbo the 1.8. now heres where i have questions, if i do a swap im putting in a sr20ve with the 20v 6-spd. but there would be alot of converting going on..ie-drive-by-wire to mechanical throttle, motor mounts, tranny (either way im putting in a manual) and over all lack of knowledge of the engine on my part and the shops that ive been to.....option #2 is to get a new 1.8 and turbo it. but ive only seen one person accully finish the process and hes a 10psi/190whp and 15psi/220whp, to me that seems to be a very low hp rating for the boost. at the same time its less than half the cost of the sr swap... I need to find a shop that has alot of knowledge of the sr20ve and/or boosting an engine that isnt meant to be boosted... Thanks |
