Here are a few things you need to know before getting to the track on Saturday.
The track has a normal test and tune earlier on the same morning so when you get there you may see a few cars in already or even possibly still running depending on how busy they were. Please do not arrive prior to 3:00 so you are not in the way of people trying to leave. When you get to the gate you will either pay $30 if you are already on the pre-register list or $40 if you are not. Keep in mind there are only 15-20 spots left to purchase at the gate and as I have told the thousands of people that want one of them it is first come first served. However if the lines are moving well after we start the race we will make a announcement that there are X amount of spots now open, it all depends. We have these Track Events to have minimal wait time so I am not going to jeprodize that. There is NO LIMIT on spectators and the cost is $5.00. The TRack Events are as much a social event as they are a race so come out and enjoy even if you do not race. If you are just spectating please DO NOT PARK ON OR NEAR THE STAGING LANES. Park by the fence near the track or in the grass median. As a added bonus there should be several professional NHRA Pro Stock cars (running in the 6's) at the track doing some testing, they may or may not stick around for the evening we will see. But I do have some 8 second cars coming for sure. ![]() Please drive smart coming down 64 to the track and especially when you leave. When coming through the front gate we will have a TR donation box set-up for server and software upgrades that we are looking to get, please throw in a few bucks if you can. The proper safety equipment will be required so if you do not know what that is I suggest you find out by calling the track (941) 748-1320. Also do not DRIVE THROUGH THE WATERBOX AT THE STARTING LINE unless you are FWD and are running slicks, otherwise RWD cars need to go around and back up. Dragging water on the track by driving through it makes the traction go away quick ! Most importantly have fun and be smart when at the track. |

jay, you know better, you don't need to drive through the water box on DR's.(if that's not your question, of corse they will allow them.)
I think with the 2 pictures of Frances people won't have trouble finding her ![]() PS. if you think you won't remember what they look like, feel free to print the pix |
