I live about 4 miles away from the track. and every saturday they properly prep the track. on thursdays they usually blow the track down to get the trash off it. if it rains during the week they properly prep ot on thursday. my dad knows roy very well. Ill make sure to have it prepped for the event.

yep, he doesnt like to waste money on the track for thursdays unless there's gonna be a big turnout, and yes he will let the track be prepped right for this event

Track gets prepped in the same manner on Thursday as it does on Saturday, the difference is the car counts which is why some believe there is a difference, not enough activity most Thursdays. What you were seeing was likely our broom/blow method of cleaning the track surface prior to any spraying of traction compound.
