I got one of their 10,000K HID kits for the D2R 2004 STi. Installation was simple and straightforward, and I am VERY impressed with the result. Visibility is improved, the look is baller (but still classy), and overall Matt was great and easy to work with. They've scored a 10 out of 10 with me in this transaction!
Installation for the 04 STi: Since we already have HIDs on the 04/05s, you have to first remove the stock ballast (or, as I did, leave the stocker in place and just remove the oem bulb and socket, in order to maintain the weather-tight seal). Then, the round screw-on cover that goes over the stock bulb has to be removed and notched, just enough to wriggle the wiring from the new bulb through. After this, I used blue permatex (because I was in a pinch and needed it to cure quickly). I'm going to re-do it with black for a more discreet look, but you get the idea ![]() A closeup of the seal job -- you don't want any water in there! ![]() Once that's done, you've just got to use clamp-type wire splicers to splice into the oem power and ground that normally runs to the stock ballast. Remember to remove the power plug from the oem ballast; I sealed mine with a lot of electrical tape for safety. By doing it this way and not cutting any wires, it's a fully-reversible install. The finished product takes only a couple of hours (at most) to achieve, and in my opinion looks fantastic! ![]() Since I have the orange reflectors removed, but retain the stock white/yellow bulb, the new color contrast looks sick! The pictures here make the light look a lot brighter than it looks when you're standing there looking at it. Also, the camera steals some of the color... ![]() Crisp beam pattern, GREAT light output (I'm really surprised as I expected the light output to go down) ![]() Thanks a lot guys! |

May I ask how much you paid??? I ask because I deal in HID kits for tons of cars, and the clips on your look exactly like my setup.. However I include a rubber seal so when you cut out your ring you dont need to epoxy the wires.. You just pop in the rubber gromet and it looks very clean and is water tight.

lol you beat me to it... yeah, mike, I could have used the grommet, but the way that I cut the cover wasn't grommet-friendly, and it wouldn't have been as perfect a seal as I wanted. I opted for silicone in order to be on the safe side of safe
![]() really nice mod, though... with the 04/05 STi's coming with HID's from the factory, I never really thought about upgrading them until I saw how nice matt's were. I'm glad I did -- these are way more my taste than the stock white HIDs |

Really? It had to have been something to do with the kit because, in my opinion, these things are brighter than my mercedes' projectors, my stock HIDs, and my audi projectors. The color is awesome, too... I'm going to get better pictures tonight or tmrw.
