Someone has wing envy...
Great Scott! You can put a full patio furniture set on that thing! I tried to resize the pic but couldn't because the wing was so big!

Isn't it a full blown race car that is ready for compete in LeMans or Euro FIA GT out of the box? I really don't think these people are concerned with how well it looks aesthetically. It really is there for pure function which form follows...which is why you don't see these things on normal Lambos.

yes, that is a full blown race car. Only thing I dont like about it is the diffuser. But, without seeing the CFD results, im gunna guess that its designed exactly how they want it and making it look nicer would ruin the aerodynamics.
otherwise I love it, especially the splitter/undertray design that comes around to the outside. pure beauty. depends on what function you are looking for. I dont see what you guys don't like about it. its an airfoil with endplates. It just happens to have a larger surface area on one foil rather than multiple foils. This wing is best for top speed from fast flowing corners. The wing you showed on the Honda is one out of about 10 designs honda uses for that car. Find a shot of an F1 rear wing used for Monza and it will look incredibly similar to the Lambo one, long and flat. Last edited by KAX : 07-02-2008 at 04:42 PM. |
