I have loved my EF hatch for 20 years and counting and my CRX for 10 years and counting:
Likes:
Light
My suspension makes it ride like a dream, corner and rotate like a demon
Just so simple
Easy to work on
Body Style
Pocket Rocket
Headlights are brighter than my EG
They make me smile everytime I enter my garage
Keep these cars stupid simple and they'll run forever
I owned my hatch before anyone ever thought about stealing them
Dislikes:
No cupholders - just one would have been nice
Body parts and transmissions are becoming harder to find
Kids still steal them
Insurance is high
Isn't that bottom pick one from All Version? If so it came out to our CRX meet and is just so freakin clean!

3 Can be made killer fast around corners. one of the only FF cars that can corner as well as say, a miata (when done correctly that is)
4 Can be made killer fast in a straight line. Swap the stock motor out with a B, F, H, or K series and you have dramatic increase in acceleration. A beefed up all motor K series CRX can whoop some serious ass down the 1820. Or slap a turbo on a D series motor and it will walk right by much higher horsepower cars for dirt cheap.
5 No nonsense design, look elsewhere for girly frills.
6 Aerodynamics (CRX) very low drag coefficient (Cd 0.29) along with a drag area of less than six feet equates to better top end acceleration and gas mileage
7 Gas mileage: I regularly get over 50mpg on trips, and over 40mpg in town with a cam'd D15b7 making more than double the stock horsepower for the car.
8 large aftermarket support
9 newer/better OEM parts interchangeable. How many people run DA hubs/trailing arms/brakes on their EFs? just about all of them. Want an S2000 gauge cluster? no prob. Hydro tranmission? there is a kit for it. AWD? do you want to run D (wagovan), B (early model CRV) or K (late model CRV) series motor? the list goes on.
Dislikes
1 most EF owners let the cars fall to shit
2 Rust, mainly from owners who let their cars fall to shit
3 wiring, mainly from the asshole owners who hack their shit up
4 theives target them because they are stupid easy to break into and steal.
Some of my favorite EFs.... the SSworks CRX, Jeremy Croiset's NASA Honda Challenge CRX, the Bergenholtz CRX, the Top Setup K20/K24 CRX, the Bisimoto NA D15 CRX, both of my current CRXs, and my brothers hatch.

The rattles are usually from broken plastic clips still half attached to the body, if you have someone else rev the motor/drive slowly while you climb around locating the noise you can remove+replace those clips to kill the rattle. my 90 CRX doesn't rattle anymore after I found the couple of broken clips in the door panels.

Likes..
Easy as hell to work on
make almost anything fit
CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!!
MPG!!!
Dis-likes..
Hard to find Clean ones, because of kids & us old skoolers who killed their share over the years
Even with the A/C gone through.. On a HOT day.. It is only Cool!
Riced Garbage
Cup Holders have to modded in all of them
NO Power Windows or Cruise (except sedans)
Not as smooth as the newer ones
Here are some of my current EFs, right now I have (3)wagon (2)hatches (1)CRX:
91 RT4WD Wagon
89 Hatch SI
89 Hatch Dx
