SAM is good and all, but youll most likely end up just another production guy at a big shop. The path to HP is not in school, but in independent research, study, and good ol trial and error.
I worked for free for 1 1/2 years for one of the most respected engine builders in the world (Ron Kendzior)
Jerry Hemmingson, owner of JERICO transmissions and prostock engine guru, said it best to me.
"Those who cant do, teach"
He went on to elaborate in saying that going to those schoolsonly gives you third rate knowledge, because the best in the business are making big coin and not sharing their secrets with you.
Research good books, join SAE and read their papers, make freinds in the industry, work on some real race cars, and go from there.
But everyone of us is limited from our natural potential.
As the old saying goes, "you cant polish a turd"
