I think its pointless for ricers to brag about HP per liter. Yeah thats great, but in order to have a valid arguement, you have to have a decent amount of HORSEPOWER in the first place.

Also, when stating HP one must also state WHEN they get that HP. If you dont get it till 8k, then what good is it on the street?

TORQUE per liter and overall torque ftw

my 4g15 is in the making of recieving an rpw stage 2 camshaft, perf. valve springs, mild head port and polish, rising rate fpr, as well as bolt on's and an eclipse 1.8 tb,ecu, maf, injectors and possible options overbore of block dunno how big if i feel like tearing it down that far, and a 14b turbo on stock boost 7psi non-intercooled (if the manifold doesn't cost too much) as well as an ACT 2100 clutch (in the blue colt)

i in no way said my colt was fast or would beat anyone elses car! But i've run my high milage motor alot with no water no oil revved it out BAD and it still runs

I'm just saying I'd go all out and go straight for the 4G63, because I'm fairly certain it sounds better, I know for a fact its far more popular (aftermarket, parts availability, etc.), may not be the most powerful engine out there but it has the most potential I'd say...for all of that you are doing to your 4G15, you could drop in a stock 4G63 and call it a day with intake, BOV, boost controller, IC, and exhaust

Still, your path is NOT common at all and it'll be interesting to follow up on it

So,,,,,after attending PRI show this past weekend (and SEMA in earlier November) and re-calling about this thread and the outcome of the "Tampa" area poplularity contest, aka, poll, I still find it amusing.

Most of the vendors that had their custom manifolds, sleeves engines, etc, etc, on display, had sample pieces using motors from the Honda B-series, to the K-series to the Nissan SR20s. A few, I recalled, had uses the Toyota motors.

I only recall seeing one 4g63 motor on display (Full-race booth at SEMA) but was tuck in a corner.

I guess the 4g63 motors are harder to find to make custom kits for these for manufactors to go by. Especially the 2006 results from NDRA, NHRA sport compact series, and BOTI.

Oh wait, I'm just dreaming,,,,never mind.

i like the f20c, the 4g63, and the sr20-det, I would say the best engines, but 4g63t is not the best out of all. If your talking about horse power then the f20c beats all just because it produces about 250hp naturally aspirated. The mits. evo makes 295hp with turbo intercooler and bov. Without all that it only makes about 150. Put a turbo on an s2000 and ull get about 350hp easy... but then there are other factors, like durability, max hp it can take and how long it lasts. Still f20c owns.
