150 should be ok.. Just do all the safety features and try and get dual stages for 75/75 shots to avoid the torque spike. Much less stress on the car.
Go two step colder plugs.
ran my car for 2 years with no problems, yes el6e tranny as well, pulled no timing,100% stock tune other than having the mph limiter turned off, my brother had the same thing on his lt1.,i know many people that run 200-300 with a extra pump and digital 6 box, i also have a buddy with the same tranny in a 4.3 s10 that ran a 125 shot and every once in awhile 150 with his v6 with a 4l60e, he has over 100,000 miles on it and has been spraying since the truck was new, pulling no timing just cold plugs and race gas...............

Thats impressive. Seem to have good luck and good setups. I know many people who have damaged or destroyed their automatics even off spray in a short amount of time.

when u think about it your adding 200 horses to the ground is 220hp at the fly when u jet your 200 shot. The engine only produces 275-285 stock... Thats a huge increase. And well beyond what the internal engine components are rated for even though they still may handle it for x amount of time.

and race gas will definately make the higher shots safer to run.

I dont think a external Trans Cooler would do anything to help increase the life of the Tranny in that case.
Specially if your hitting with an immediate 300 ft lb torque spike at 3-4k rpms.

from everyone that ive talked to that has had problems with their tranny in these cars are secound gear related, im pretty stuck on flushing and changing the filters, seems the cheap fix are the vette servos, personaly id pray before hitting a 300 shot on a stock lt1, but i have heard many that have, 100 on 1st stage and 200 on the secound, i went with tr6 plugs and race gas, its worked great for me, used the factory fuel rail, generaly hitting it in secound till the race is over, anyway, youll be hooked on the lt1 with a 250 shot, it hits hard with the right bottle pressure!

Where are all these people that you know that are running 250-300hp shots on a STOCK lt1? I'd like to hear from them and see this...

well i have a 6 speed manual and im dyno tuned out at 316 hp to the wheels without the nitrous... all my engine internals are stock and i was planning on like a 100 shot-150 shot and if i did the 150 shot i would do dual stage

just go with a 100shot...more room for error, less strain on the motor..

i ran 75shot on a 150k 93 automatic with no problems at all.

just pull a degree or two of timing, and make sure you have all the necessary stuff to support fuel and safety, etc.

I ran a 150 NX wet shot on a stock motor with stock pump, stock timing and NGK TR6 plugs with no problems. I had a msd ignition with a window switch and fuel pressure saftey switch. Car really moved with the spray. I miss it all ready.

Default NOS

NOS is for pussies. Take that money and build up some more funds and put an LT4 conversion on it. It won't destroy your motor like the NOS eventually will. And it's contast HP and torque. The conversion will make any LT1 425+ hp. That not including headers or any other minor exhaust work. It's more money, but it's worth it. About $2,000, but a new motor will cost you a lot more.

um yeah no... LT4 conversion is a waste of money. Just grab the heads/intake and work them. Nitrous doesnt destroy motors.
