2000 Turbo Honda Prelude: 3" Proven Power Downpipe & Traction bar modification

Another H22 Prelude in for some Proven Power fabrication. His newly purchased traction bar didnt quite line up and needed to be modified due to the position of the turbo. We were also asked to upgrade his old dented 2.5" downpipe to a new 3" downpipe.

The traction bar was cut and prepped by the customer

We went to the bandsaw and shortened the bar the heim joints screw into and made spacers out of round stock.





Now time for the exhaust...

after disassembly i started to tack some pieces together



welded in a small flexpipe for minimal movement





finished product with 2 bolt flange



now installed






We needed to build a small testpipe to tie the downpipe/exhaust together. The bung for the wideband oxygen sensor fit perfect in this location.
