1996 Acura Integra LS: custom turbo kit install/fab & Hondata S300 Dyno tune 300whp!

Customer recently picked up a STOCK 96 LS Integra with plans of turbocharging.. After ~3 months of ownership he couldnt stay NA anylonger

He quickly pieced together a kit for under 2K and plans to have us fab a custom kit in the near future !

Precision 880cc Low Imp Inj
Precision 5031 turbo
Used Tial 38mm gate
HKS SSQV BOV
GM 3bar
Hondata S300

How we recieved the car:



We took off the valve cover and gave it a quick coat of paint to freshen up the bay.





We removed the front bumper and measured for center for the cooler mounting.. The car had some green overspray that we blacked out. We also painted the cooler black for a nice stealth look.





Next we started on the fuel system...

These things need to go to Boost Lab



We installed the new Precision 880s



and Jose lended a hand and installed the Walbro 255lph pump



We gave the gate a quick polish to help the appearance





Turbo installed and oil lines built





Customer's reaction to his first drive in his newly turbo'd Acura...



11lbs@~260whp break in... Had to quit tuning due to slipping STOCK(assuming) clutch, was shooting for 300. He will install clutch/flywheel and we will continue with tuning soon.

The owner took your/our advice and brought the car back for some Proven Power fabrication !

After consistently blasting off couplers and dealing with exhausts leaks he had enough with his poor quality ebay turbo kit !!

You get what you pay for

Proven Power 2.5" charge piping
Proven Power 3" downpipe (A/C compatible)
Proven Power 38mm dumptube (A/C compatible)

Now to start back over fresh !

After verifying oil pan clearence we finished welded the new exhaust.

Customer said next trip back will be to install Fidanza lightend fly, custom 6 puck sprung clutch & 1700ft/lbs pressure plate.

Then return to the dyno for more power ! We'll keep you updated ...

Thanks !! Were excited to revisit the dyno with no more turbo issues

Customers original power goal was set at 200whp. After hitting 218whp on the spring he adjusted his goal to 250whp. Raise the boost a bit and we hit 250whp. After hitting 250whp the hp goal again was changed but now to 300whp

Finally after hitting the 260whp the STOCK clutch started to slip and we had to call it a day...

Just waiting on clutch and flywheel package to be installed and then we will continue.

I was the same way. I WAS happy with 250hp back in the day. Now 500hp sounds about good.
