1999 Turbo Civic: Cooling system upgrades
The EK has returned for some cooling system upgrades ! In May we performed an engine swap, downpipe fab, and dyno tune. In this brutal Florida heat it was obvious the stock cooling system just wasnt doing it !
Once we started to disassemble the old radiator and dual fan setup the problem was easy to target. We tested both fans and found the aftermarket "pusher" fan motor had failed. Which meant the stock Honda fan was pulling air against the non working "pusher" fan.
We also compression checked the engine to verify head hadnt lifted or warped from the extreme heat.
~200psi on all cylinders
Before pic taken 3 months ago with old radiator and stock fan/shroud:

Today with new dual core radiator and 14" slim fan:

Engine bay shot after 3 months of daily driving. Lookin as good as when she left !

Thanks again for choosing us as your shop of choice !
