Finished the cage and seat brackets, along with stripping all of the old paint and weatherstrip crud out of the interior. I over engineer everything so I came up with a remarkably simple way of mounting the seat. I gusseted the floor pan and built a bracket, then bolted them together.

OK, at some point in time some worthless peckerwood decided to install a sun roof in this car, so it had to go.
Holding up the pieces of sheetmetal I traced the opening on the new metal and cut it to fit (with some overlap)......
I then tacked the pieces in place....
and.......
I then spot welded all the way around in an attempt to prevent warping...
This is the almost finished project...
I did run into one huge problem, the roof has no strengthening members since they were cut out for the sunroof, so I will have to replace them in order to give the roof some structure before I try and do any body work on it.

The sun rood panels..uh no it is a total PITA, if I hadn't done this once before back in the 80s on a Plymouth Cuda I wouldn't even attempt it again. It is going to be hard getting it straight, i'll probably settle for "race car straight" under the circumstances.
Looking for a 302 to rebuild ? i might have a couple spares cheap.

I might be interested, wouldn't have one with a carb or a complete FI unit would you? I was thinking about using an old school 302 carb, hei, etc, but if I can scare up an entire 302 complete, I might be interested.
