89 LX build thread
I have sold my 03 Cobra and am now starting to build an 89 LX hatch. I am on the fence right now about what to do. I have always wanted a TT LSX motor in a fox, but that will take some time to build it right. On the other hand I have a 90 GT with a built 400ci Windsor sitting in my driveway that I could swap over. I am debating on selling the GT as a running car or swapping the whole drivetrain over and selling that car as a roller.
Any input is always welcome as always. Here are some pics of the build car and of the GT for your opinions.

The 90 GT - Most everything was done right on this car. It would be tweaked a little when swapped over if I go that route.

I would just swap, as it would be the easiest and you wouldnt have to wait long. We all know how some projects that we would love to build just would never get done due to money or time.

Only 1/4 mile track I know is Gandy Bridge

The body and interior on the white hatch is near mint. The cowl panel on the blue GT is damaged as well and I picked up the white hatch as a running 4cyl car for $800.

I wanted to get rid of the payment. That is the only reason
I was thinking about trying to sell the blue GT as it sits and then work a way to get your Lightning but I never got a chance to come look at it.
I put new black carpet in the LX tonight. I'm trying to find a dash and engine harness from an 88-89 5.0 so I can get the interior buttoned up

Did some more work a night or two ago. Test fitted the new carpet and pulled the fenders off. Absolutely no rust whatsoever underneath.

Update - Sold the blue GT as a roller and pulled the motor and trans this past weekend. Will be going though the motor starting tomorrow and dropping things off at the machine shop to have checked out before reassembling.

I need to break the camera out and get some pics. Heads are back and now the block is out getting freshened up at All-American. Build is still on track, slowly but surely. Engine bay will be repainted here in a week or so and interior will be finished. I spend a lot of time redoing a new harness as well so that will be dropped in with a full tuck also.

Boy does that "backyarding" bring back some memories!
Only it was in the dirt, a 56 Chevy and my parent;s back yard.
