No problem....glad to help! Double check the wiring to alt. Sounds like internal regulator shorted to ground. Be careful, that can burn some shit up. If its shorted to ground, alternator will stay hot (touch) even after it hasnt run for a while. It stays energized and keeps the system hot too

Maybe...let's hope! He was having issues with harness in the beginning. OR this may had been the cause of the problems with some back feed from alternator. I had an 86 with external voltage regulator...was a 4cyl conv, well let's just say I learned what kind of funky stuff an alt or reg. can cause! . From dash, head tail lights, to locking up 3- $80 Cheetah shifter cables. All for a $10 ext. regulator!!
