Cool build! I'm always more interested in the builds that are out of the main stream. (how hard is it to build a small/big block ford)
The holsets are pretty cool turbos but they don't move a lot of air at low psi in a restrictive system. With the porting you are talking about I hope it will make the numbers you want at low boost levels. My hx35-40 took 35psi to make big numbers.
Keep us updated.

I had a turbo'd '06. Fun little car. I ran the FSwerks stage 2 kit with some head work and other stuff.

Might change turbos to a Holset hx30 for a quicker spool but still hang on the hy35.

Little bit of an update, I bought a Holset hx30 which is a lot smaller than the hy35. I also thought of a simple easy was to block off the internal waste gate to run an external one.
I'll post up some pictures up later06 ST Focus/w a Bilstein coilover suspension with some basic engine mods.

Umm...The stock 2.3 Duratec Focus head flows like 300CFM on the intake and about 260 CFM on the exhaust. Not sure where this restriction you speak of is...
Anyways, for this guys power goal...
He would be best using a T3/T4 or soemthing of that nature ..The HY is just simply more turbo than you need for this.
If you are stuck ona holset and want good spool...
I vote HX35 and proper twinscroll header.
Also why the 9k rshared_pm goal?

the 9k redline is there incase i do an endo. really the HX is worst than the hy because it has a bigger exhaust housing.
i bought a hx30 which is smaller for quicker spool time.06 ST Focus/w a Bilstein coilover suspension with some basic engine mods.
