Progress of a neverending project!
I have been going at this thing for several years. My dad bought it new in 88 and I got it 5 years ago with only 52K on it. Pretty much went thru the whole car. I am going to be putting in a fresh 306 soon and upping the boost. Just got the fuel system finished right before Christmas. I will add the pics of the fuel system and blower on another post.

Thanks!
It has been a long road. I am pretty happy with with the way it is going. I do have a few things I think I can do better with. I almost went strip only with it, but I like to drive it to damn much. So, I put in a set up that handles and gave it a shitload of power. I just LOVE Vettes! I don't think the feeling is mutual.

Thanks!
Wheels are FR500 knock offs from OE Wheel Distributors in Sarasota. 18 X 9 w/6.12 (???) back spacing. They are a very well made wheel. Balanced out near perfect with very few weights. Price was damn cheap compaired to orther mfg's. Fronts are 245/40, rear 275/35 BFG G-Force Sports. I used new Bullitt/Corba brakes all around w/ Ford Racing FOX 31 spline 5-lug axles. Used the North Race Cars rear backing plates to keep the Fox rear track width. Only regret is using the FMS "C" springs. Front is aobut to low. It rubs the top of the fender plastic sometimes, espicially since I hung that Novi out there, but it does handle really tight.Last edited by S281-335; 03-03-2009 at 08:24 PM.

what year front spindles did you use for your 5 five lug swap.the reason i ask is ...that the 1996-04 cars push out the wheels 8mm more then the 94-95 spindles.94-95 are the track as the fox spindles.with those 18x9"s up front 8mm makes a big diffrence.im doing the same swap on my hatch car with the big brakes all the way around.

I got a set of 95 GT spindles out of the boneyard. Definitly do not use the 96-98 stuff. I used the Ford Racing front lower control arms with a stack of grade 8 washers on the spindle. It has Koni adjustables all around and with the stiff ass springs, it handles and stops awesome! Every peice of the suspension has been replaced. I still need to add in a bumpsdteer kit. It wants to wander a bit when you get on uneven pavement, especially when stopping. I used alot of info from Maximum Motorsport and they recommend a bumpsteer kit when using the 95 spindles on a Fox. Also, do not use offset rack bushings. Use a kit instead to get the rack even with the tierods. Where you looking to get it aligned? I wouldn't just take it anywhere.
You can see in this pic the front offset is about perfect.Last edited by S281-335; 03-08-2009 at 10:19 PM.

i did the same thing with my spindles,i stacked some washers.i"m getting cobra brakes for the front and mark 7 brakes for the rear.i"m using ranger axles to keep the right offset.my car is also mini tubed,so i have alot of room for big rims in the back,i"m thinking 18x11s and 18x9s up front.your car looks great!i want mine clean and straight like yours, but its taking me for ever.
