What is wrong with the engine in it now? If it handled the Novi, hit it with the turbo.
Blessed are those, who in the face of death, focus on the front site.

It is still a great engine. But it is the orginal 131K shortblock. It needs at least a rear main seal and likely oil pan gaskets, hell it still has the orginal oil pump.
It has P heads and I doubt the turbo headers will fit them. Besides I have a set of 185's I want to run with the turbo and the stock pistons wont clear the bigger valves.

I am back!
Been lurking and working my ass off.
Have made progress in getting the new motor done. But mostly just working to keep it running and some minor upgrades.
Internals are coming home from the machine shop this week.
Then in goes the block for final machine work.
Should be putting it together in mid-January at the latest.
Still buying parts to finish up the details. Went overboard and decided to have "everything" on the new engine actually be new.
Boy did that open up a can of worms and my wallet.
Here is the rundowm on it so far.
New std bore Boss 302 block
Eagle 4340 3" stroke crank
Eagle H beams with ARP 2000 bolt up grade
SRP -5 cc 4" bore pistons
King bearings
Billet flywheel
SFI balancer
Netural balanced assembly
Mains and heads studded
MLS gaskets
AFR 185 heads decked to 55 cc chambers P/N 1388
10:1 compression
I do have a new F cam, lifters and spyder assembly.
But the decision is still out on the cam, lifters and rockers.
I had been planning to run this with the 76mm turbo and kit I have. If so, I decided to go with a B & G hot side. But now seeing where the compression has worked out to, I may just go all out with a N/A build with a little N2O. If so, I want a put in a kick ass cam and valve train.
Any way, away we go again!
