Interested to see what they say about the heads. Not sure about the group buy since historically all the ones I've been involved in have taken a lot of time to get set up and finalized and then dealing with someone like TEA/Fox Lake who probably has 3-4 weeks turn around time at best..... I just want to drive the turd

btw, TEA quoted 10-14 days turnaround for a set of heads. After 15 years of dealing with this kind of stuff, I figure that equates to about 3 months "real-world" time?

Well I was going to go with either 205 or 225 AFR's but a group buy on some vic jr's would do less damage to the wallet. Let me know what you guys are going to set up and when.
Derp!

Going to give the Procomps one more shot.
Chad had the rocker stud holes essentially relocated to correct the geometry problem.
Ran into a problem with getting a replacement link-bar lifter to match the set that was in the motor.
Shooting for having the car running by this weekend and hopefully on the road early next week to see how much farther these Procomps are going to take us down the proverbial rabbit's hole.
one step forward, three steps back?

Lifters are back, heads are back, hurricane will probably be holding things up...
Just to rewind. In an earlier post, Chad posted a picture of a lifter missing one of the retaining clips. He got a replacement CompCam lifter through SPW who sent the defective lifter back to CompCams to be warrantied. The new lifter had a completely different retaining clip, and when Chad called CompCams, they said no change to design was made. I ended up sending the other 7 lifters back to CompCams who replaced them.....with 7 lifters that look exactly like the one Chad received, that is with a completely different retaining clip. Strange.
Pictures of the difference.

Chad had hoped to have it running yesterday. Fingers crossed. No news yet, so hopefully another gremlin hasn't appeared
