how to check if engine is stolen??
 
does anybody know the website where i could look up the vin on a engine and find out if its stolen? i heard there was such a website would appreciate the help

i got my motor from orlando and my trans from lakeland...mine arent stolen :-) bill of sale and copy of dl and vins are all attached and come back to certificate or destruction.

Added to Stickies in all the Honda areas.

It's funny. Honda owners go off about theives constantly but then when I or other staff come along to enforce the rules we hear nothing but bitching and how dare we say that they are selling stolen parts. Seems to me if you have nothing to hide and just forgot to follow the rules it shouldn't be such a big deal. I mean as soon as we get the VIN # we re open the thread, post the VIN in the first post and then give it a bump to the first page for viewing. I guess some inncoent people freak out for no reason at all?
