nonvtec = about 2-3 hours....easy job

98ek9b20vtec 12-30-2009 02:28 PM

1 hour but if you asked that question it will probaly take you all day.

rangcrx 12-30-2009 02:35 PM

^if you can do it in a hour you need to work for the F1 team

custom240sx 12-30-2009 02:48 PM

lol

rangcrx 12-30-2009 03:02 PM

what i do mean is if anyone tells you they can do it in less then 2-3 hours then do not pick that person cause if your rushing that fast then its going to have mistakes..it takes 45mins just to remove everything ie,wireing, intakemanifold, powersteering pump/bracket,drain the coolent and so forth, then makeing sure everything is wrapped and kept clean, then reinstalling and retiming

custom240sx 12-30-2009 03:07 PM

He's correct...not to mention you should do an oil change immediately following.

Ill take your hole motor out in a hour.So just cause you may not be able to doesnt mean i cant.If you think i cant put a couple hundred on it.I have no problem taking other peoples money

freakasis 12-30-2009 04:50 PM

about an hour and a half because you gotta pull the cams on the dohc's. a single cam can be done in less time...assuming you have done it several times and know exactly what needs to be done. if you've never done it before its gonna take several hours because your not gonna know each and every bolt that has to come out. plus your prolly not experianced with setting the timing and removing the old gasket material.

98ek9b20vtec 12-30-2009 04:58 PM

I did a block guard ,water pump, timing belt in less then 2 hours today and smoked a fat blunt.

rangcrx 12-30-2009 05:06 PM

^^ hahaha now I know I would never let you touch a motor and your lieing, cause if u installed a blockguard without have the block honed after then u are one dumb shit ..and I will match your couple hundred if u can find astock dohc to change out in a hour

rangcrx 12-30-2009 05:13 PM

Damn my bad 98ek just saw your a noob to tr and honda .so keep up the good info

98ek9b20vtec 12-30-2009 05:16 PM

You only hone the block if you have to beat it in all blocks are diff. You should know that 100 plus builds.you read to much.I have a stock type r going on 1000,00 miles with a block guard in it for over a year daily driver never honed the block i rev to 10000 with toda's still strong. The diff between me and you.You think you know everything i dont. But i know what ive seen and did

Im a noob i only joined this site to sell my ek and figure out how to build my crx.Not to make friends.Having alot of post doesnt make you cool or faster just means you have no life as i can see from your pics you dont see the sun often or exercise much.I would be afraid to let you build my motor might drop some chicken wing bones out of your pocket in my motor.
