GSX-R 1000 Vs. TL1000R
 

Just wondering which is faster. Im getting one in a few months when I come back from tech school in the services. Im getting either one of these bikes and just wanted to know which I would be happier with. Im asking handling, straight line, daily driving, everything. Thanks in advance. And don't worry about me I have already taken the class and have ridden(spelling) before.

I am posting just in curiousity, does anyone have a running 600 and a running 1000 that he can sit on and ride before he purchases either or.

uhm.. 600 vs 1000 or gixxer vs TL?

Ok... gixxer 1000 is faster then the TL.. the TL has more torque as well as much heavier. TL is V-twin powered.. Gixxer.. four banger and lighter.. :dunno: that's about all I can tell u about that... the 600 is fast... the 1000 is hard to keep the front wheel down... make sence??? :dunno:

Oh I just wanted to know which to get. Which is better for daily driving? Dindn't know which was faster. I assumed that the TL would have been. And its gixxer 1000 vs the TL.

like I said... TL is a vtwin, heavier, harder through corners, more torque, easier on forearms and back then the gixxer...

gixxer1000 is a inline four, very light, very agile, harder economics, easier to wheelie.. uhm.. anything else need to know?

BLAH!!!! if your serious and it was me i would get the TL1000, just for the simple fact is that it is a nice sounding bike, hence the v-twin, and its about $1500 cheaper. personnally i wouldn't wat a bike that came up on the back wheel very easy, gixxer1000, just asking for trouble in the from of asphalt chewing off you back side. but that just my 2cents.

Yeah im thinking the TL. I have always loved them. I mean everyone has a "gixxer" you know. I want something that you don't see everyday. The dual exhaust is nice too. lol. I figure I could pick a used(98-01) TL for around 6-9k. I want one with less than 10k on the clock though. Im thinking that wont be to hard to find.

A loud TL has a very addicting sound.

True the Tiller is a heavier bike, and it may not be as fast. But that damn rumbling sound does it for me... Just remember it is not a GSXR, so it also depends on your riding style on which one you would like more.

My riding style, I just want one for everyday. I couldn't find specs on the TL. But I did find specs on the gixxer. The 04's weigh 370lbs. Im thinking the TL is lighter. Im just going to go with the TL I think. Just seems to be the better bike for me. If anyone has a site for the specs on them please post or pm me.

I don't think the TL is lighter than the Gixxer.

Hmm thought it would be. Eh not a big deal I guess. I mean im getting a 1000cc bike, its not going to be light.
