I recently locked my keys in my 04 sports trac and I dont know how the locks are layed out. I bought a slim jim and cant seem to get it open any help. IT doesnt have an alarm or key pad. It has power locks the slim jim directions say read owner manual but its in my car.

Hmm no offense this sounds a little fishy. Especially since you do not have the car listed in your profile.

BigDawg 08-10-2006 04:36 PM

why not call AAA, or even better a locksmith?

elwrestler03 08-10-2006 04:38 PM

Come on seriously would I post this in a forum if I was trying to steal something. My question is can I get a owners manual layout online and just download it? And if I was a thief I think I would know a little more I dont even know which way th bend should face on the slim jim.Help!!!!!

So no help just put downs just like TR.

Does the lock slide up/down or left/right? The left/right locks seem to be harder then the other ones (using a slim jim). Does it have a 5th window in the back? Might be able to open that and slide a midget through or something. You say this has happened before...why not get another key made? :dunno: Good luck.

+1

normal people would just call a lock smith instead of wasting time and coming online and making a post......

Cry a fucking river, man. You locked the keys in there. You figure it out your damn self. As already mentioned NORMAL (ricers don't fall into this category) people call a locksmith. You may just as well be asking "Can anyone here give me instructions on how to break into car and/or be a professional car thief?" I'll tell you what, too, My Ranger, which is pretty much the same setup, I can get into with a slim jim easily. Already did it once figuring it out myself. Took only a short amount of time I won't specifiy to you to do it. Think man, think. Fuck.

Not putting you down dude, its just reality, only because if you use a slimjim the wrong way, you can easily shatter your window, so lets see..... 150.00 to replace a window including labor, or 50.00 to a locksmith to comeout and open it in less than a minute in most cases. Do you know anyone that has AAA? or shit even cellular phone companys offer roadside assitance?

not to mention it could cut the wiring harness in the door. Thats why fire/rescure and police dont slim jim cars as much. Wiring harnesses arnt cheap. Plus windows are fun to break!
