What car would you buy for 15k ?
 

If you had a limit of 15k to purchase a car, what would you buy, I need some opinions on this, because I might be in a situation like this pretty soon, thanks for your interest.!

For me 1st gen Neon any model as long as it is 5sp and drop a Turb'd 2.4L and some suspension work, and prolly still have cash to play with. Or a GLHT and go visit LRE for some engine goodies, and still have money to play with. But I'm extremely biased towards domestics.

you like Honda's? Look for a light body and mod the fuck out of it. It doesn't matter the body style. Speed only cares about power to weight ratio. If you want something that looks good. The only one that can tell you what looks good is you. I am Mopar biased, so.............

mm yes.. prefer a bridge port :), maybe a t66 or an hks equiv..lol, 1000cc's on primairy and secondarys would do nicely ;)

i personally would take that 15 grand and reserve the new rx8 coming in march (50/50 weight distribution only 400 lbs heavier than a miata room for 4 full size adults rear suicide doors almost european styling and the value of evry1 else not having one plus 245 naturally aspirated horses with a 10 grand redline on a 6 speed transmission fully loaded for under 30 grand........ :monkspank:) however if you cant wait that long then maybe a cheap car with a great swap i.e. 240 w/ sr20det or a CRX with b16A any number of things. or if you just want a fast out of the box car then you can get a mid to late 80's porsche 944 turbo for around that. there is my 2 cents
