setting the timing on a 3.0 ranger.

Ok this damn thing has pissed me off. 93 Ranger 3.0 Roommate had to replace head gaskets and he put it all back together, but failed to mark distributor. So after about an hour cleaning rust off the balancer I found the timing marks. Set to TDC Fired it up and it ran like shit, shut off and checked the firing order. Its good but the rotor is messed up. Putting new rotor and plugs being they are all fouled.

Ok so the question I have is who knows the corrects timing on this? I have checked online and I am not finding a firm answer. Couple say 10BTDC and others are 14BTDC. Any help would be great thanks again all!:crack:
