Grudge Racing - Defined
Have had some people ask me what grudge racing is exactly, so I decided to share.
Grudge racing is a form of drag racing quickly growing in the South, NE (NY,NY,etc.) and spreading throughout the US. Grudge racing to some is talking smack in a forum, sometimes followed up by a few pulls on the highway. This is totally different. Grudge cars are usually 7 to 10 second cars, and are very well conceiled. For instance, when a true grudge car makes it to the track on occasion, "no time" or "N/T" will appear on the rear window. This instructs the tower to not display the E/T or MPH, due to keeping the car under the radar. Grudge races are held both on the street and track, and mostly for cash. Some use the tree, and some use an arm drop. I've personally seen $10-$150 races, and some upwards of $50-$100K. I'd love to get some grudge races going, whether it be in Orlando or Tampa. Friendly (or non) races consisting of a $20 bill or so. It's a fun way to make some cash, and anyone can do it. Let me know your interest and I'll get with some track owners on having a few grudge races held during a test and tune, street heat, etc. Hears a video of grudge race to better show what it's about: Note: this video shows the behind the scenes, and takes some fast forwarding for the action. http://youtu.be/SLwZgMkiIXw |
So what you're saying is that Grudge racing is street racing. Taking it to the streets and 50/50 chance there could be some1 injured in the race taking place. A spectator, homeless person, Mom or dad coming home from work or a child walking home from a friends house...

sorry but dont think a child will be walking across the highway @ 3 am or atall ...as for the spectators if there stupid enough to stand in the path or any were near the path of one of these cars thats their own fault & stupidity.
Did you not see the Mustang lose control and went towards the crowd? |

I enjoy the entertainment of seeing Grudge Races take place at the track. The group of guys going on about thier cars is fun times especially when they finally get up to the front and get their run in. No excuses because the win light or the red light at the tree tells all.

Most likely. Looks like they are racing on a regular hwy any one of us would drive on. It didn't look blocked off. Who blocked it off? Who set it up to have it blocked off? Was it blocked off illegally?

Its not like the people racing called all the people & said hey We have 2 very fast & light cars racing & we want all of you to line the streets. The people went out there on their own will, i know if one of them would be to get hit the cops wouldn't care either way but it is their own fault if they would have got hit. |

Damn, this is why TR is dead....you realize your on a forum, behind a computer, calling people names, for no reason? Do you guys even race in tampa? Or do you just play 'fun police' on a forum named tampa racing?

Doesnt fucking matter I love how you faggots try and defending this shit. It doesnt matter if there are no spectators around or a 1000 of them its still fucking illegal. I'm pretty sure also that the road was "blocked" illegaly too since I didnt see any cop cars around. OP if these guys respect the cars and keep the pedestrians out, why dont they do this shit on the track?
Take the dick out your ass for a moment & enjoy the runs...Or go flame everyother video that has ever been posted of street racing. |
