How To Get Wheel Locks Off!

Ok I Have Lost My Wheel Lock Key Can Not Find It . I Get 4 Lugs I Can Replace The Wheel Locks With But I Need To Take Them Off How To Do It Without The Key?

P057 06-23-2007 04:08 AM

wouldn't that sort of defeat the purpose?

Well If You Have Lost The Key .. You Can't Take Your Wheels Off To Repair Them Or Rotate Them ?? .. I Need The Wheel Lock Lugs Off !!

To Be Clear. I Need To Take The Wheel Lock Lugs Off To Replace Them With Reg Lugs

They make a special socket just for this. It will ruin the locks though. Most any wheel shop should have one and I believe Advanced sells them.

I'd like to know what the point is of wheel locks if there is a device out there that you can use to remove them......

If a tree falls in the woods and no one is there to hear it, does it really make a sound?

where did u get the locks from?

my old neon had a set from autozone so i went back to autozone when i couldent find the kit and got the same set again, and it had the exact same key

there are a few different universal sets out there. the point is that its more of a pain in the ass to get them off (takes more time switching sockets) plus, the person would have to know which set you have to find the right socket....

take a picture of it, I may have one that'll work.

I have a couple.

well i got it off .. i went to napa and they had a tool that takes off old rounded lug nuts so 30$ and no return on it i got the tools and got the lugs off .. o this was the factory mazda locks, went to mazda too, they said that they needed the key code # on the lock to replace it ?? ya that stupid !! so after telling them if you lost the key how could you get the number they said sorry ?? wtf

but new splined lugs and about two hours of work there off and the drama is over

you can also get a lock set similar to your and hammer the lock on and take the lug off.

cosworth34677 06-23-2007 11:43 AM

one of my friend also said a min ago that i could of use a old socket and hammerd it on the over the lug and that would took it off

Sears sells a whole socket set designed to do exactly what you needed, Ive had to use it on three of my friends cars.
