Default Exedy or ACT?

Which clutch brand is better, Exedy or ACT. Does it all depend on the car and application? If so let me know, I'm running a slightly modified B16A for street use, it's my dd. Thanks for any input.

I dont think it really matters all that much man, any name brand clutch will probably get the job done, just make sure whatever clutch you get, you take into account how much power you want to make down the road. I like Exedy stuff, i have a full exedy stage 1 clutch kit in my car, my brothers got a stage two, but he should have gotten a 3 because hes already making more torque than the clutch was rated for.

Yeah man I'm going with the stage 2 for now, it can handle up to 243 ft/lbs of torque, I figure that should be more than enough for my little B16. Thanks for the input David.

I like my ACT clutch. I've had no problems with it and its been on the car for at least 8 years. Still going strong with all the power I'm throwing at it. Never owned the other clutch so can't compare the two.

I use an ACT pressure plate and Clutch Masters Disk. Works great so far. I would have gotten a CM pressure plate also but I bought an ACT Kit before and when the disk went bad I replaced it with a CM disk. I think the CM disk feels alot better then the ACT one. When I need to replace my pressure plate I will be replacing it with a CM. I have never used any Exedy branded stuff, but I hear good things about them.
