I don't think it's the price of the track.. I think they are just scared of the track for a few reasons.
1 - they can't do drugs there as easily
2 - the might actually run into fast cars
3 - they can't get into huge fights
4 - they might actually run into fast cars
5 - the track isn't open at 3 am
6 - they might actually run into fast cars
7 - it's just not cool if you "take it to the track"
8 - they might actually run into fast cars
9 - they can't roll race at the track (obviously not the issue here)

^ Maybe no Hondas at the track. Hondas attract Hondas. They only like to race themselves 95% of the time.

It's not the same. Yes, people change, but the people who were out there back in those times didn't fucking line up in the middle of the road right off the bridge. They were "Safer" if you will back then. We used to race till 4am, then go to get food wherever as a giant group and guess what? We had no problems from the cops. Gee, I wonder why? Maybe because we didn't do drugs, drink, or cause fights. The people that came out back then were there to race, and hang out, not cause attention like kids do now. Not to mention we didn't hang out with the retarded high school Saturday night crowd.

The issue is "respect" for your fellow man.
I remember running back at Gandy in the early 90s, it was a great mix of young guys, old guys a few import guys and the hot rod and muscle car guys.. Ya, we used the bridge traffic lanes.. But, Gandy was 2 lanes coming & 2 lanes going and 2 seperate bridges.. and you didn't line up if there was a car or cars coming.. It was a lot cleaner crowd.. As far as respectful to each other.. Ya, there was occasionally a fight.. Maybe some drinking.. Police used to come out.. Things got FAST at shift change.. and the police did try to catch some of us occaionally.. I even remember a few accidents.. We used to race to the top of the hump on the old bridge... I remember that a semi I stopped on the other side of the hump one night and one of the racers went under the back of the trailer.. It was BAD.. He Died.. We didn't learn.. We were young.. But, back then... Not everyone raced.. Fast & Furious brought all the FUCKTARDS out.. It made everyones car fast.. You would even run if you where in the 14s back then.. Then all of a sudden we where surrounded by younger guys racing everything.. It got outta control quick.. The new crowd brought tons of bad attention.. And everyone got associated with them quick.. I had fast-ish Hondas before FF.. Also ran V8s..
Nowadays.. the Older crowd won't come out.. The respect for each other is gone.. Little kids talking to much smack, doing to much smack... Outta contol.. Don't respect themselves let alone anyone else.. It's a shame... used to be a lotta fun.. Ruined and Gone..
Some nights I still sneek out for a peek though.. Hoping the older ways will return.. And all I see is a bunch of little Retards with NO-Common Sense..
Drag Strips still offer a little hope..
But, Gandy.. Back Then was the Good Ol Days... Gone Forever & Life Goes On
Sorry for the long rant, but you all touched a nerve...
Those Idiots should have gotten outta the way...
Glad someone got it on video.. Maybe someone will learn from it..

the OP is SOLID GOLD. I wasn't ready the first time and looked away from the screen. When I looked back I was all like, "Where did that honda go?"

I'm surprised you were able to get out the store with that big "SUCKER" sign affixed to your back. "

Hopefully you're joking. If not you're a fucking idiot. You act as if you are such a perfect little boy and you never did anything wrong. Those kids fucked up and did something idiotic. Same with the driver who hit the civic if it's true he/she was drunk. The people watching have no control over what happened. Because they were their watching doesn't mean they have to suffer for what happened. They cannot force anyone to drive, race, or do anything. The drivers are responsible.
