Military applying for CCP
So back in April I was talking to a Staff Sergeant who has his CCP and he was saying that all he had to do was send a specific size photo, a copy of his military ID, a set of thumbprints and a money order for 20 some odd dollars to the state. I was just googling how I go about starting this process but I couldn't find a straight answer, any military here who can get me pointed in the right direction, or know anything about this?

Easiest way is to go to the Department of Licensing with the application photo and copy of military ID if active, DD214 if discharged/retired. Money order for finger print fee $42 I think and they do electronic right there which cuts down the time and a money order for the application fee which is $75 I think.

Yeah you don't have to take the ccw course or anything but call up the division of licensing and verify everything and make an appointment. They take your picture, thumb prints there.

Man I've always wanted to live in the Carolinas. How's the air force going for you bro? My unit wants to send me to Ear Nose and Throat school. I've been gone for 7 months and they want to send me away for another 2.5.. I might take it, the training looks good on paper. The Army is also slated to lose 3,000 medics this year, so hopefully I'll get an airborne slot. BTW air force has the sexiest girls. ever.
