^RE OCZ, if you get one with the current firmware on it it's no biggy to get it stable. I bought two, one with the new FW and one with the old, so it's a mixed bag. If you happen to get one with the old buggy firmware on it, it can be a real PITA to update depending on your setup. But I agree the price is really tempting on them and they do perform really well.
The crucials (guessing you're talking about an m4?) use the same controller as the intel afaik so it should perform similarly and give you similar stability. One of my buddies has the 256G m4 and it performs within about 20 mb/s of the Vertex 3 240 I have in my laptop and he hasn't had a single reliability problem.
Since you have a z68 mobo you could always use Intel's RST to cache your most commonly used stuff on a small SSD without making any major changes to your setup or throwing out a bunch of cash...

Good info, thanks. might go with the crucial M4 now that you mention it. they had the 64gb one on sale for 89.99 a few times already.

I got that for 105 bucks at Compusa (orlando) during a sale a year ago. I needed a full tower but I really didn't care to get overcharged on the shipping.
