Check out Savage Rifles, its nice if you can get one with the accu trigger, but its not a big deal if you cant.

Dicks had lever action 30/30's with a scope (probably shit) for around $350.

That's the manufacturer in the deal. Forgot to mention that
My father uses his marlin for hunting.

im not sure if 30-30's would be very effective out here (las vegas) with an effective range of 200 yards. im really leaning towards a 30x06 (1,100 yrds), for the distance. i dont mind a little extra kick.
not that im going to be firing off 1100 yard shots effectively, but im not too sneaky and i could use some extra distance.

If you're planning to shoot to 1k yards effectively, it's going to cost more than $350. My Remington 700 in .308 would clear 1k, but you need a good set of glass on top to get that kind of range. I would get a .308 if it were between that and .30/06. You also need to take bullet size in effect and determine if the caliber you get is overkill for the game you want. Check ammo types too. Don't want to blow a fist sized hole in an animal you plan to eat

Saiga sells a nice gun chambered in 308 or 223. You can find them at the gun shows for a decent price. Google reviews on them, they seem go be well made and reliable.

i think that for the price range youre looking for the savage 111 30-06 with accutrigger is going to be your best bet..you can find them for about 350-400 with a cheap scope, but on a budget i thinkt hats youre best bet!!! very comparable to the remington 700s' (i just bought one and love it) but the problem is if you plan on shooting 1k yards out like they said you need a good ass scope..and you're supposed to put as much in the scope as you do the gun and for that distance you def need a strong scope :/ but the one it comes with isn't bad its a good package
after a quick search (i've also found them at walmart)
https://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/...ducts_id/22973

its 380 there (and they have an accutrigger model to for i believe the same price, not going to look that much im tired haha)
