Getting around no insurance to register a car?
Can any1 help me out? I need to register my car with no insurance for about a week, but you "cant" register a car without insurance.
Any ideas/tips to get around it?
Please, I dont need you to tell me its stupid or anything else. Its my last effort to do this.
get someone who works in the system is the only thing i can think of.
just make a bill of sale up and put the current date on it and say your driving it home lulz
working in insurance, its not going to work unless you know someone on the inside. its not worth it at all to attempt
only thing you could so is start a policy, get your id cards and then cancel it once you get it registered. only problem is in FL, you have to return your tags when you remove insurance from a vehicle. you may be able to make it work since its only a week.

After you cancel your insurance you have 20 days to turn in your tag. Why don't you just get insurance?
Ive done it a few times in lakeland back in the day when i went through cars like every week or so...
sometimes they ask... sometimes they dont.... Mostly now they dont... cause i have been up there tons of times...
You could allways make a fake card.... but i think that is a felony so stay away from doing that...
HAHAHAHHA, I don't think anyone does that.

Is this due to just not having enough money to get the insurance right now or what? if so, you can go to an insurance agent and write a check. I know that MY insurance agent will take the check and hold it for a couple days for me.

(odd how the mail never got forwarded to me. damn people) I needed ins on the Cobra to renew the registration. So I went to my current ins agent and they held the check for a few days till I got paid and processed it then. When the wife gets back, I'll PM you the agent's info.
what you do is scan any ones insurance card, change up the info and policy number of course, and put all your info in there, and there you go. another thing to do is get an old insurance card or ur parents or something and tell them that you have the car insured by them but you havent recieved new insurance cards yet.
What yanper said is what works easiest.
Does anyone wanna do it for me? The only scanner I have is my parents and I dont think they want me committing insurance fraud lol Ill rep.
^actually disregard that last PM, he said that doesnt work any more and they are actually checking now. the only thing i can think of is just using ur parents I-card and telling the DMV the car is insured but you havent recieved a new card for it yet.
lol insurance fraud = felony.
ill talk to my mom about it, ill see if there is a way she can print up temp cards or something, she's an insurance agent.

Ares doesnt check for shit. I usually just use my old car and they have not once said anything. My friend did it a week ago. The usually just look for the same name on the card and the title.
