k better, paying to bump an add was a nono.

I still prefer the old fashion way better.. This seems more confusing to me if anything. I don't see how people would complain about it being hard to find parts other than Honda parts when each make has there own sub-forum. But whatever.

Its just being able to discuss something that is for sale is the reasonI post things here and search for things here rather than other sites because if someone has something to say about something that is for sale I'd rather have an open discussion on it rather than buy something thats a piece of shit that other people know is a piece yet the system doesnt really allow things such as that to be as easily discussed. I for one am done with the classifieds here now and probably wont be on TR much anymore. Making things overly complicated and harder to ask questions etc. is just annoying and I dont have the time or patience to get frustrated at stuff I really dont need.

If it wasnt for the Honda owners whoring everything out and some being idiots and not knowing where to post their stuff we probably wouldn't have this problem.

Ok so let me ask you.. what exactly about the new comments on the listing dont you like? It's just as easy as replying to a thread.

To be honest, the "discussions" people have in the Forsale threads are the most reported post we get, at least now you can have the option of disabling the comments.

You can also quickly email the seller or PM them.

and your done with TR because we are trying to improve one of our most complained about features? So happy I could spend many hours of my time to help you out.

It's not perfect, it needs some tweaks and it needs some time to get used to. if it's clearly not working in a few days we'll remove it.

I didn't say "I'm done with tr" I just dont have enough time to spend more time on here figuring out something that to me seems more complicated. Often time I the reason I get on here in the first place is for the for sale sections then while I'm on here I stay on for a bit to go in other sections.

I mean I know you are doing all you can I wish people just werent such absolute dumb asses and could realize that if it has nothing to do with the thread then they shouldnt be posting something. I just dont understand how this is any easier than it was. You know people are still gonna litter the classified section with crap as they already do. More dumb asses are born everyday than die.

IDK the whole thing I really dont like about it is having another section I have to go to... having to click on one ink to go somewhere else yada yada yada gets annoying to. Like if someone has a forsale post just linking to another one I just hit x because its annoying.

I dont like change. I have been on here longer than most and the lack of change is what keeps me here.

lol. to that we can def agree Mike.

I'm trying my best to make the classifieds more useful.

They are free, always will be. If this doesnt work, i'll back it out and try something else but I want to give it a few days.

The toughest part is that some people are just too stupid to be online, and yet they are. I can't build anything that fixes that and those people are not something I am worried about. I'd rather implement something that improves things for the other 95% of the users. I think this system will. I needs some polish though.

I've spent about 2 weeks installing and testing and tweaking this system.. i am gonna give it at least a few days before ditching all that work and trying somehting else. Besides i think this is going to work out ok.

Really, from your perspectve 2 things have changed. How the forsale threads look when you click into them, and how the "create new thread" looks. Both of those I can agree need a little tweaking.

The general concepts i think are sound though, the system has some solid benefits.

i do need to tie it to our current iTRader system, or port that stuff into the new system.

and the other major drawback is people listing lots of items, its tough for those things, something else i need to tweak.

lastly if it works out, i am hoping to add more categories and forums.

a wheels/tires section definitely needs to be added.

I just dont understand the whole point of this though. No offense. Just the retards aren't going away, they will still be here and just clutter that up as well.

The search function definitely needs to be fixed (referring to how it was). I dont know if youve been working on that or not but when you search for things often times nothing comes up when there is in fact thread titles with the words you searched for. At any rate, thanks for at least trying to improve tr.

It has wheels/tires I am pretty sure.

The old search was tough because things werent really categorised, people could free form what ever they liked in the post, there was no real meta data to search on. Your results could be for something that sold months ago, or has nothing to do with what your looking for.

If your talking about the search box up the top there, I can look into it.

ok so now that the credit thing is gone, I do like it. Its more organized and simpler to find stuff. Now if parts could be catorigized eBay style, that would make it even better.

i'll fix that for you in a sec, your using the Day theme and the link at the top goes to the "old" system.. or well one of the TWO systems we had.

new system replaces both of those with one integrated system.

NISSAN, ebay style?

like, for example, I go into Honda section right, well I see a bunch of parts, wheels, cams, seats, etc, for sale. It would be nice if there were sub categories like, exhaust, engine, wheels/tires, interior, etc, like how eBay classifies stuff when you sell on there.
