At the end of the day, this entire economy problem starts with lazyness and ends with lazyness. The mexican that works for me is currently making over 70K under the table between the work I give him and landscaping work on the side from his other boss. He doesn't even speak english. If you don't wanna take it in the ass, bust your ass,make money and separate yourself from the rest of the lazy americans. Theres plenty of jobs available. If you apply for 10 jobs a day and don't get hired after a week, you have major problems. Either way by working hard and working smart you will never fail. The rich people just keep getting richer.

So you are part of the problem?!? You admit that your mexican employee is working "under the table". That means he isn't paying taxes, and neither are you. So you are HELPING to propogate this whole problem. Ever wonder WHY he doesn't want to ba paid OVER the table? Is he LEGAL? If so, then quit breaking the law and pay your farking taxes like everyone else! Illegal immigrants are a LARGE part of the problem in America today. Granted, not the WHOLE problem, but they are a LARGE part of it. Get legal, or get out!

You are very incorrect. I don't work under the table. I pay my taxes for my business. When I pay cash to him its not considered a business expense for me. So who technically loses? ME! The state taxes I collect still get paid. My income tax still gets paid. How is anyone losing besides me? So the real question is, why would i screw myself over by hiring someone that cant be written off as a business expense? Its very simple. MOST Foreign people know how to work, and they work hard. You know what he does with his money? He wires it to mexico to pay off his house and give money to his wife. Every week he works here, it would take him 6 weeks to make the same money in mexico. The main reason is because the work is readily available in america. Its hard to find work in some countries. The only problem created is that he does not pay taxes on the money he makes. When he works as hard as 2-3 americans combined, he deserves to not pay taxes. LAZYNESS runs the USA. What pisses me off is when people bitch about the economy but do nothing about it. Get 10 jobs and work hard. I might have to work on a friday or saturday night, but atleast the repo man wont be busting down my front door.

I spent a good amount of time looking at the numbers. I have heard the $450,000 per household number before, but I think it was in reference to a doomsday scenario. This may in fact over time be the "real" amount each household will pay over the entirity of the bailouts. I can only assume they are taking into account an estimated interest rate, presumably high, and made the appropriate adjustments for the time value of money and inflation.

I think the average household number to be much closer to $10,000 though. In rough numbers, as mine are too, I think you are on target for the first round of bail outs.

You are right though, most of the illegals I've ever met work 10x harder than the average americans doing the same job because they know 1st hand how hard things can get. To bad he makes all that money and none of it stays in the states. If every American worked that hard we'd all be in better shape.

Thats not the point. They are taking the money they make in US and sending it to MEXICO. How does that not effect our economy if money isnt being kept in the US.Esp. if they are working under the table and not being taxed. Nobody is saying they dont work hard.

Good point i would definately try to make my situation better, but do it the right fucking way. Get your green card, and become an american, THE RIGHT WAY. And speak fucking english jesus this is fucking america. Go to any other country in the non-english speaking world how big is the english talking to national language speaking ratio? My grandparents immigrated here 60 years ago, and they did it the right way, All the illegals should do it the right way or get deported. Wanna make that american money become an american as simple as that. And no RACE isnt a factor and never should be.
