Favre to Tampa?

if he comes out of retirement Tampa could very well be the place he ends up. definately think its an upgrade from Garcia. we could see a deal as early as this weekend. the commissioner of the NFL wants the deal done before training camp starts.

how do you Bucs fan feel about this?

I'm not a Bucs fan, however I think he should stay retired. Not that he couldn't do well here(or just about anywhere), but I don't want to see him end up like Jordan.

The bucs system is too complex to learn in one year. Also Farve is too much of a gun slinger I believe to run this revamped west coast offence.

i would think if Garcia can learn the system in a year, Favre should do fine. Tampa needs someone who isnt afraid to throw the ball. they have some decent receivers and could be better

I just want to hear Green Bay whine for a few years about it...

Plus, think of it this way. If he sucks, we can't get much worse.

i think he can still play in my opinion. his stats last year were just as good as the stats he had when he went to the superbowl...

i dont think GB will whine unless he goes to a division rival like the Vikings or Bears. i just dont want to see him in the AFC

why would greenbay whine? they denied farve back... the bucs most likely wont have enough money to pay farve to play.

for one, grudens system is just a complicated westcoast style offense that favre used to be in, second, gruden will simplify it for favre till he gets the hang of it just to get him here, third, i thought we had so much cap room, we didnt make any big signings so we should still have a decent amount, no?

Brett Favre already said he doesn't want to play here because it's too damn hot. Personally, I'd like to see it happen if only for a year or two but would the price the Bucs pay be too great?

He'll most likely end up in New Orleans.

theres no way he would go to NO. he will ONLY go somewhere he is a starter. he will not be a started on NO either. Favre only wants to play 1-2 more years. the Bucs havent really done much since 02 so i dont think they would pay to great considering Tampa would be a tough contender in the NFC.

garcia is an awesome qb...and out of the last 3 years, farve has had one good year(last year). he needs to just let it go and retire. If anything...he needs to go to the Jets, that's the only team he would fit in.

garcia has only a 1 1/2 good years recently. he is older that Favre, doesnt have the arm, or the experience favre has. it would be a nice upgrade for the Bucs
id like to see him go to the Jets so he can put some pressure on Brady and the Pats making that division a little tougher. ive seen tougher pee-wee leagues than that division
