They all fuck up once in a while, almost all of the time, things get where they need to go. If I want to ship something important somewhere and make sure it arrives, I just hop in the car and drive it there myself.

edit: also, we saw a ups truck w/large box trailer in tow.
I just spoke to our Fed Ex guy yesterday. He said that they are having staffing issues, and he had to load his own truck. I was like "Awwww....poor wittle fed ex guy. Here...you want me to hold your hand?" He laughed and said that he had spoken to his union rep and told the union rep that if they didn't have someone there to load his truck by Friday, he would file a lawsuit. Apparently the fed ex drivers aren't supposed to load their own trucks. But what I DO know is that they are having staffing issues.

As for the UPS trailer thing goes.....UPS Will often have a truck haul a trailer in an effort to try to reduce the amount of trucks to a certain area. Basicly, they have increased two or three certain routes and probably eliminated one. This makes it so only 3 trucks have to drive 300 miles totalling up to 900 miles versus 4 trucks (and drivers) driving 250 miles totalling up to 1000 miles and an extra person on payroll. I know it's more complex than that, but that's the general idea.

I ship about 600+ packages on ebay monthly, and I switched to using FedEx primarily about a year ago. USPS charges WAY too much for most things over 2lbs and under 12 inches in diameter. I've never had a problem with USPS tracking, call them up if their website doesn't give you enough info. I've only found their tracking (or lack thereof) to suck for international shipments, but for as cheap as it is compared to the other carriers, I don't complain, and haven't had any problems yet.

But FedEx rocks out loud regardless. Once you spend $500,000+ dollars on shipping with them, they give you the hook up on prices!

USPS tracking is virtually non existant. I think you may be talking about UPS not USPS (mail man)

No, I'm talking about USPS. Ya, their tracking on their website is crap, 99.999% of the time it will only tell you if it has been delivered, that's why I said if you call them up, you can get more info out of them. I've never had a problem with calling them and tracking stuff down

Ya, but you can't track Priority Internation Mail.....which sucks because that's all customers ever want to pay for. USPS only tracks it to our border

calling customer service gives you the same information as online. ive made many calls this week all they do is put an investigation in and your local post office calls you to tell you if they have the package or not.

Precisely why I only ship to places within the Continental United States. I don't deal with anyone in other countries. Period.
