yea i get what you are saying but when you are making a living out of it is different and i know a lot comedians do use jokes similar to other comedians but they usually make their own version of it Carlos Mencia just straight up takes the jokes and tells them word for word from other great stand up comics like Bobby Lee , Goerge Lopez,Bill Cosby. Truth is....EVERY comedian rips off other comedians. Think about it. It's all someone elses material, just delivered differently. You might hear a joke from ME... and think what the FUCK did she just say? But you hear it from someone else and you may find it funny.
Just because one comedian's set may be similar to another doesn't mean they ripped them off. If I hear a joke I like, I'm going to repeat it. Like this one:
What's the difference between a rooster and a prostitute?
A rooster says "cockadoodledoo"
A prostitute says "ANYcock'lldo"
Doesn't mean I ripped off the guy who told it to me. lol.
but thats just my opinion.
