I had a failed Ram chip in one of my pcs at home...
wouldnt boot up at all... would turn on but no noises or displays...
try booting the compy without the ram in it..
i will still try to boot but should beep a few times or display that it cant find any..

actuly if your still intrested i found an older amd chip i have laying around i think its like an 833mhz or somthing like that your welcom to have it if you like what i need though to make sure it will fit is i need you to look on your MB and tell me what socket the processor is

it's socket 462 yea ill take it.. jus to see if the comp will boot. but didnt u say that the mobo most likely will go with the chip when they are destroyed? its worth a shot i guess lol that chip wont be in my computer for long tho

it should fit idc really but u have to come get it because im not driving anywhere O_o. but on a diffrent note idk if it work i have no way of testing it ethier
