i my self have learned all i know about racing from being at the tracks and talking to people in the sport an hands on..i dont give 2 shits..i'll walk up to some one and asking them about there combos and why they went that route..shit i;ve talked to some of the top heads up racing engine builders at tracks and on the phone..just to talk with them and b.s over combos i'm thinking about doing..u just pick there brain and u will walk away knowing more then most..i didn't have any one to teach me..shit i basicly could read tell i was 11..my love and passion for the sport is what drives me..i would work for free on some teams just to learn stuff.

u either have the heart for racing or u dont..i was one of the top auto body kids in this area when i got kicked out of school..i could of went and got a job doing auto body the day i was kicked out and made 12$ an hour at 16.but i didn't like how they want it in and out of the door as fast as possible..i take pride in my work so i choce not to get my self into that field..trust me i still love the aspect of turning metal into a beautiful shape and all..but auto body aint my thing..i'm more of an customizing person.

if i never took auto body in school i would of went to work doing it and found out like that and i'm glad i didn't..because i would probley hate cars by now.

i went to wyotech...same bull shit there. they didnt even have a seat for me the first day of class.

THANKYOU ALL FOR THIS INFO!! Im supposed to start Aug. 28 and now that I know all of this Im never going to go there! Im going to call my so called recruter( Bob Westbrook ) and tell him to fuck off for lying to me. Im going to do what I want and go into to Mechanical Engineering. I dont care if it takes 4 yrs. Id rather do that than spend my 22 grand on classes where they're talking about something I already know. But I might get all my ASE certifications before anything. Oh another thing - UTI DOESNT EVEN GET YOU ANY ASE CERTIFICATIONS!! Which is a fucking ripoff even more! ASE certifications look a lot better on your part than a peice of paper that says you completed a school that ripped you off for 22 grand!

Yeah, I converted DubtecV2 to go to SCTI instead too

For an ASE certification, you have to have "2 years experience in the field" and pass the tests they have on specific dates. Fortunately, you can use 1 year of technical school and 1 year of working in a garage for your two years, even if they are simultaneous

I know he came to my school when i was a freshmen with that retarded ass smile and was like " i think wyotech is going places in the automotive field " I was like yeah to the fuckin dump. Wyotech is the worst school out of all of them. Then the next year he came to my auto class with a UTI shirt on and was like i think uti is going places in the automotive field and stood there with that same gay ass smile. I remember that 3 of my friends actually took a plane to wyotech to go see the school and said that the 4 yrs. of auto tech at school was a million times better that 1 yr. there.
