Light painting stitch.
I have been trying to decide on what to spend my tax return on. Lights or lens.
So last night I went out and played around with my flash in the back yard, to see what I could come up with.
Shot with Canon 7D shutter 30sec, one flash.
Total of 20 shots last night.
Large light bar sitting about 15-20ft from the car. (This was one of the first ones)

Removed Fong piece and tried it again.

Went from shooting with the Canon 28-105 to the Sigma 10-20.

Final shot

Let me know what you think. What can I do better maybe?
Thanks!

I did something similar with $20 Home Depot work lights recently. 10 images.

and last night I shot my new car with a Vivitar 285HV. 6 Images.

These take way more time to process than I care to admit.
The hard thing with Strobes is they're not strong enough to get very wide spread lighting, so like ^^^ said, you end up with a bunch of hot spots.

Can someone please explain how the hell you write like that... I know how your getting the glow on the cars but the writing and such has me baffled. I have a D3000 and would like to try this.

Yea, but this was my first time doing this. And have to start somewhere. But DEF huge thanks for chiming in. I didnt get this much response even on POTN.
Yea I really dont like to PS a lot..but I guess if I want to go the route of light painting I will have to.
I have a smaller one of these but could not find it..So stripped this one out of my Cosplay TF2 Pyro gun. The switch helped do the spacing.

Yea my girl had written on her hand STITCH backwards.

I tried this a couple weeks ago. I definitely need more practice..

attempt #1 at light painting by heysuppa, on Flickr
I used a Craftsman 30watt florescent worklight attached to a vagabond mini battery. I stacked about 3 photos to develop the final image.
Here's a how-to video..
