Welcome to the forum. The first thing I'll hit is camera help. The only way we can help you with choosing a camera is to know your budget. Once we know that, we can recommend cameras that will suit you in that range. Also, what type of photography do you do? Sports, portraits, wildlife. These things can also play a role in choosing a camera type.
Other thing I would suggest is post pictures. There a some great guys and girls here that will really help you out IF you are willing to take the time to listen and apply what they suggest.

Thx for the welcome. Well I was lookin at like a connon 50d cause I like my cannon 35mm its a eos elan 7e . But I heard that nikon is better for digital so I was lookin at the d3100 cause it was number 1 for 2011 on this website . Cant remember which site though. So around ir up to 1000.00. Well I would post up pics but I do alot of 3d cutout prints and idont have a scanner to post pics . Dont know how to get 35mm to dig. I like freelace I think its called I just like creating things that are diff. That are more than just flat 1d prints . Like solarizations negative prints etc

The newest canons are the 60d and the T3i. Those are both around 1000 give or take a few hundred. The Nikon Vs. Canon debate will always flourish, but it's really just a matter of personal preference. Go to best buy and play with each camera for 15 or 20 minutes. Do you like the button lay out of the canon versus nikon, or how the grip feels in your hand? Both brand make equally similar cameras in the same price range. Each have their own positives and negatives. The T3i has a real nice tilt & swivel viewscreen that is interesting. My suggestion is just go to best buy or ritz camera and play with them all, even if you don't buy the camera from them it's good to get it in your hands.
A good editing program is Photoshop CS5. It's expensive to buy, but you can find the identity keys all over the internet if you search around so all you have to do is download the full trial, enter the key, and wa-la you have photoshop.
If you have a scanner, you can scan your 35mm's to digital.
Freelancing is roughly when you don't have a full time job at a specific company, but they send you work and you decide whether or not to take it. You can freelance for multiple companies. I freelance for 2 magazines. I also have my own photography company and am an assistant for two professional photogs.. which isn't freelancing.
Hope you can get some of your work up! it would be interesting to see!

Ill keep all that into mind thx ... My pics are better seen in person though its really hard to see the 3d effect when u scan em cause it ends up lookin like a single print. What are some good sites for buying and learning techniques etc like just for photography
