I have proof!
Finally, proof that real photographers shooped their prints before shooping existed.
Ansel Adam's son shows the straight print and final print versions of Moonrise, Hernandez, one of his father's most famous works. The content in question is the first 6 minutes of the video, give or take.
Finally, I can back myself up when saying that "straight out of the camera" photo contests are silly.

how is this new to anyone? we used to clone, dodge, burn, super impose, composite all in the dark room.
Where do you think the tools in photoshop came from? and why the tool icons look like they do. I remember cutting out developed prints as stencils to block a certain exposure from one slide, and then re-exposing another slide on the the paper.Just a photographer with a bunch of NIKON glass.

it was very frustrating when i had access do a dark room but really fun. once you take a step up from just developing a shot and start experimenting it gets expensive. lol

wow really arguments? so sad. Developing is an art form, and honestly i would really suggest everyone (even hobbyist) try to develop atleast one roll. So they will understand how to manipulate their digital images.

When I get back from Europe I'm going to put a lot more attention on film. I have a Canon AE-1 that, I think, leaks light like crazy. I'm going to take it to a shop to get it checked out and then try to shoot primarily with that for a few months. Eventually I'll work up to exposing a roll for myself.

Lol. I lost the dark room when I graduated. My folks were going to be renovating a while back and I was going to get a walk in closet. Which ment I was going to lose my closet and get a small darkroom. Unfortunately that never happened and I haven't shot much film since. I wish I had an ae-1 BTW.
