New Website
I just put a bunch of work in updating my website and removing the flash crap that I had before.
Take a look through it if you would, be sure to post up any bugs or defects you find. I tried to be pretty thorough, but it's always nice to have someone else double check.
Falcon Punch Photography and Design
Click "I am an artist" for the bits I updated.
Thanks.

how big is the eagle, the home page takes forever to load.
well, your whole site is pretty slow, who do you use for hosting?
is it a wp site? (it kinda has that feel, sorry if its not!) but that would explain it.
cigar cave - click on screen shots, does nothing. "launch site" does not go to a valid site...
the screen shot button on all galleries does nothing.. it opens lightbox and just keeps loading.
my services, the image of you with the camera has a stupid load time too. try optimizing all you server images.
when i click on a blog entry to read it, it takes me to your blog... which looks nothing like the rest of your site... and offers me no option to return to where i was...
i think thats enough for now. lol.

You have two analytic scripts on the index page? Also a bunch a CSS that's not really needed.

Personally I don't like the setup of the site too much. Splash pages are old school, I would've just integrated the blog and the artist site into one. Would've made perfect sense to blog about your new art?
Also like mentioned above, code is a little jacked up but it's fully functional none the less. I think your trying to impress people more on the site itself and content vs. what its built upon so that doesn't really matter.

I don't know why the pages are taking long for you to load, every computer I've viewed it from it's instant. But I use GoDaddy to host. Maybe it's a browser thing.
In the first post, I mention the only part I'm concerned with now is portfolio section. The blog is going to get a redesign next.
And I wasn't expecting everyone to go and look at the code behind the page.
That lightbox thing is a problem I had while testing and I thought I figured it out. Guess not. It mostly happened when I had my browser open for way too long. And only in Chrome.
And it's a Falcon. Hence: Falcon Punch.

So I pulled everything down, fixed the filenames, and put everything back to the server. Seeeeeeems to be working fine now (seemed to work fine before too lol).
I use Dreamweaver for the actual building of the site, and its pretty good about putting and getting to the servers, so I have no real need for Filezilla.

You're an idiot. He wants tips on what the website looks like, not on code or what he can use to help build it.
EDIT: The splash page really needs to die. I would just direct the domain to the artist website and put a link to the blog so it reads "PORTFOLIO - ABOUT ME - CONTACT - BLOG" instead. Then on the blog find a place to put a link going to the Artist website so people can navigate back.Last edited by HoosierDaddy; 01-07-2011 at 09:14 AM.

heh, unless you did something recent to the splash page, I'm digging the retro black and white splash page.
Overall, I love the layout of the site although I must admit I haven't had much time to mess around with the links.
