Noob using rebel XTI
Going to shoot my car today, would you guys mind giving some quick tips on how to use this thing? Should I just use it on auto?

Depends on location, & Sun.
Shoot in TV mode(think that does shutter speed..I maybe wrong since I am pretty drugged up with this head cold)

Honestly, I would shoot in Aperture priority (Av mode I believe), set you're aperture like 2 clicks up from the lowest number (3.5 is usually the bottom for kit lens', so F/4.5 is usually a good place to start) and go from there.
I almost never mess with shutter speed for still shots. Depth of field is more important.
