Tips for new photographer.
I just attained my first DSLR camera as a graduation gift. It is the Nikon D3000 and it came with a 18-55mm VR lense. I don't know anything really about DSLR cameras or lenses...So I was just wondering if there are any sites that maybe give a good summary of things that are essential for me to know... Thanks for any and all help!

Understanding Exposure is a great book for beginners.
You could order it off AMAZON or *REMOVED*
You may be in the market soon for a compact telephoto lens. You're in luck, I'm selling mine on TR right now.
Pretty cheap price.

Well since my torrent link was deleted, I'll just suggest you torrent search Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. Make sure to get the revised edition, it's fairly easy to find.

If I were you, I'd look into Scott Kelby's books. I'm not sure how many he's churned out by now but they're an extremely easy read. Then buy Understanding Exposure, because its a great read.

Thanks for all the help guys! and on the lense for sale. I would love to buy that and have been searching on ebay for one...but I JUST totaled my car...so cash is super low right now. I don't think you'll take 50 for it...cuz that's all I can spare at the moment.
