Anybody Want a Painting of Their Car?

My wife was wanting to get into oil painting for quite some time, so I bought her a small kit this past Christmas. She told me she wanted to do a painting of my car for my 10-year anniversary and completely took me by surprise. I posted up the finished painting and got a few inquiries for other paintings, so I made this thread to show off her work.

Her very first oil painting went on the back patio. It's a scene from Rome.



Then she did my car! 18x24.









Then we got a request from Josh. to do his Audi. 11x14







Then she did one for herself. She wants to own a panda. 18x24







Then Mama Got Boost?? ordered one for her son. 18x24 Thanks, Lisa!

Added 06/25 - Her biggest yet! 24x30 painting of a photo I took on our honeymoon. It's going above our bed in the master bedroom.

Her 8th...She did this one for a good friend in J-ville.













This hangs in the master bedroom. Her main goal in life is to fill the canvas with places we've travelled. It's a 30x30.



Then she painted a set for her twin brother as a house-warming/Christmas gift. His wife has a thing for geckos. Each canvas is 24x24.



We got a request from FDFranklin to paint his girlfriend's cat for Valentine's Day. It's an 18x24.







7/28/11 - She's working on something for our son, who has not even been conceived yet.

Just to let you know, there might be another order coming from me in a few weeks...damn, make that 2 lol The Black Mamba might be reincarnated tonight. He's on his way to Melborne to pick up another black one so we might have to get another to match lol of course after the rebuild.

I'm moving soon and I want to get settled in before I make the decison on size and placement. my whole place will be modern with modern art and all that, but i think something like this could be sick in either my bathroom,patio or at very least the garage. how well is the one holding up out on the patio

oil paint/canvas = very durable... it should hold up very well even in contact w direct elements. Its the wooden frame that stretches the canvas that will breakdown soonest.
