YouTube - Cooliris Overview
Why do we not have a way to embed videos on this forum? Gay.
Basically, you see a set of pictures (google image search, flickr streams, facebook albums, etc etc) and it'll give you a little icon on the bottom right of the image when you roll over it. Click that icon and CoolIris loads and gives you this really neat "3D" wall of all the pictures that you can move back and forth on, very much like iTunes Cover Flow. I use it all the time when I'm photoshopping and looking for a stock image that will work with my project.

I've got Cooliris for Firefox but hardly ever use it unless I'm searching Flickr for inspiration.

Right, it's not something I use daily, but when I'm trying to be productive in Photoshop it's a life saver.
Case in point: I was helping my girlfriend with a project for her photoshop class (read: I was doing her homework because she hadn't started it, only has a laptop, and it was due the next morning). The picture called for a sunset in the background, but the buildings in it already had the light cast on them from a certain direction.
So basically I hopped into CoolIris, searched for sunsets, and just flicked through until I found a thumbnail with the right color and angle. Literally went through about 1000 pictures in 2 minutes. Probably would have taken me an hour just using google.
