This will be the last time I put my camera on Shutter Priority. Screwed me over completely. I like shooting in manual, even if I have to make little adjustments here or there quickly and on the fly for rolling shots. Made it WAY to bright for my liking. I had to tone down the brightness and contrast quite a bit in a few of these. Also I had some of them come out blurry because of how bumpy the ride was. Long day, and I have a ton more pics from the track, but this is all I have for right now.

Next time I'd rather shoot on Manual and just make quick adjustments on the fly. I notice with this camera that during "brighter" hours I need to click down a stop or two with either shutter speed or the f/stop to get better results to work with.

Pending what focal length lens you are using, when doing rollers, the trick/rule to start with it 1/XX of your speed. So if you're doing 30, you set it to 1/30.

Yeah I try use that rule of thumb. I was shooting around 1/60-1/80. Bleh, I'll get to try again though, not the end of the world.

try iso 200. My D300 only goes that low and I always have it in shutter, iso 200-400 max, and go from there. Also, invest in a polarizer!

77mm UV and CPL filters get pricey for me at this moment.
