^ Goes to show you how people think differently, like Shaun_GST I was also thinking the positive impact these new features would have on my work- flow while you are stressing job security.
The key to any career is to remain up to date and open minded, meaning do think you know it all because you don't < Being General.
Even after 15 years in the industry, I still invest quite a bit of time learning to stay current with software and techniques.Photo Retouching | Graphic Design | Corporate Branding

Well of course it's going to increase workflow, it's going to increase mine and my co-workers immensely. Especially since the owner stays up to date like a mofo so hopefully we will be using CS5 by the end of June early July. I'm not stressing job security I'm just stating that this will cause problems for some. Put yourself in the position of the employer, if a program allowed you to basically do it on your own why bother keeping those employees that you hired specifically for that reason. Remember, I'm talking into the future not the present.
I have been using Photoshop for awhile, but I definitely do not know it all. I think the earliest version I had was 6.0 which came out in 2000... thats crap compared to CS5
. All other programs I've been using for 2-5yrs, some I had taken classes in school others are self taught.
On a sidenote, I think this might be the first thread in P&G where serious discussion is happening.

Another thing to consider with all these new features. Sure it will make a lot of stuff we do now, easier. What we haven't considered is, how much is impossible to accomplish right now that new features enable us to actually do. Some things you may not even consider. Like TampasOriginal said, i do tend to think on the positive side of everything. So yes, there are a lot of people out there that know just enough to get by. Those people will have issues. I'm always learning and trying new things. So I stand by my thinking of in the arts industry, I will always be needed and have constant, ever changing workflow.

Yay! No more having to use the liquify tool to strech my panoramas!
